Champion High School Presents "Godspell"

March 26th and March 27th at 7:30 P.M.

Ticket Prices: Adult $7.00 and Students $4.00

The Champion Drama department is preparing for the spring musical which will be performed on Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 7:30 PM. The next two months will be filled with auditions, choreography rehearsals, set building sessions and singing, every day after school until performance dates. Tickets will be sold at the door and will again be $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. This year’s musical is, “Godspell” which is the present-day telling of the gospel according to St. Matthew. “Godspell” is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time. The musical was conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak and features a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz (from “Wicked” fame). Audiences will be pleased with the up tempo songs, toe-tapping choreography and unique message of kindness, tolerance and love. “Godspell” is being done in cooperation with Music Theater International, New York, NY.
