The Champion Middle School Envirothon teams recently competed at the Trumbull County Junior Envirothon competition at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center. For the 2nd year in a row, one of the CMS teams placed first in the county. The Junior Envirothon teams listened to professionals from the Ohio Division of Wildlife, Doll Lumber Company, the Ohio EPA, and the Trumbull County Soil and Water Conservation District. Students competed at different stations which focused on forestry, aquatics, wildlife, soil science, and agricultural cover crops. Students also had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Murduck talk about the 4 honey bee hives the Champion Science Club has located at the Agriculture and Family Education Center.
