Champion Middle School Science Club Students Visited by Dr. Greg Dillon, Associate Dean from YSU STEM College

90 Champion Middle School Science Club students were fortunate to be visited by Dr. Greg Dillon, Associate Dean of the STEM College at Youngstown State University. Dr. Dillon was born in Ireland and has been a US citizen for over 30 years. He explained that one of his greatest accomplishments was to help develop the left ventricular assist device for heart patients.  He stated that YSU is the only STEM College in Ohio and one of only two or three in the United States.  He also emphasized that engineers love problems and stressed that students need to find a career that they love and that provides financial benefits.  At the conclusion, Dr. Dillon thanked the Champion students for their attention and great questions.
