District Enrichment Fund Receives $5,000 Donation to Inspire Student Learning

The Champion Local School District is pleased to receive a $5,000.00 donation from the Rotary Club of Champion in support of the Champion Educational Enrichment Fund. Informally known as “Inspire” – the Champion Educational Enrichment Fund is a non-profit fund developed for the sole purpose of supporting activities and programs that are beyond the scope of public school funding. Previous Inspire contributions have funded trips to Camp Fitch, allowed for the purchase of STEM kits for classroom learning, supported the construction of an outdoor greenhouse at Champion High School, enhanced Spanish literacy efforts, and led to the creation of the middle school Invention Convention.

The Enrichment Fund will provide two, $1500.00 grants to Champion teachers this fall.

“This contribution will go a long way in continuing to provide these unique and important educational opportunities for our students,” Champion Schools Superintendent John Grabowski says. “We greatly appreciate the Champion Rotary Club’s support of our district, not just with this contribution, but also with their commitment to contribute to our Inspire Fund for years to come.”
