Champion High School to receive improvements
The Board of Education has approved for the high school parking lots and driveways to be redone with new asphalt during the summer break. New Varsity baseball and softball fields will be completed at the high school complex during the summer months as well. This project will include fencing and new dugouts. The Board have dedicated the two sports field in name of Roger Samuelson softball field and Larry Durch baseball field after the two past board members. The asphalt paving project will cost $413,000 and will be paid through the Board’s general fund. The sports field project cost of $400,000 is being paid through the Local Funding Initiative as part of new school construction project.
