Dear Champion Parents, Staff, and Community Members:
Champion Local School District received notification of one staff member that tested positive for Covid-19. Contact tracing was done. No student or staff close contacts were identified. Therefore, no quarantines were needed. A close contact in school represents a student or staff member within six feet for 15 minutes or more in a 24-hour period. If you have any questions about your child being a close contact, please call your child's school and our contact tracers will explain further.
It is important for all of us to recognize the urgency of the spread of Covid-19 in our local communities. Be vigilant when assessing symptoms each day, frequently wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, maintain social distance, wear facial coverings, and avoid large gatherings as much as possible. If you are symptomatic, you must stay at home. If you have any further questions , please feel free to email me, call my office, or call one of our school nurses.
Sincerely,
John J. Grabowski, Superintendent
